So after another workout, I had a thought come into my mind. I have been doing this at least 4-5 days a week for the past 8 years and it seems like it never gets old or I never get tired of it. It seems like it has gotten to the point that even on days that I’m supposed to wake up early, my body automatically does it by itself. It had me thinking of how important consistency is in life and not just when it comes to the gym but overall in everything else. I think for me personally consistency has created a space of discipline for me and has led me to hold myself to a higher standard than most. In life one thing we underestimate is how important been consistent is and how much of an impact it can have on our everyday lives.
Being consistent in life, at your job, with diet and overall everything can have such an impact that it can turn a simple habit into a routine. I think us humans at times underestimate the power of consistency and just how far it can take us in every aspect of life. The only way to get consistent in certain aspects of life or to where we want to be is to first start somewhere. Everything starts with sacrifice and sacrifices can be made by looking at what the goals are in the long run.
Nothing In life can be attained without us making the sacrifice of giving up something to attain what we want. An underrated aspect of consistency is it demonstrates a form of discipline that is hard to attain. Not everyone has this form of discipline and it is what helps a person stand out. Being consistent can also demonstrate to people around us that we are serious with what we want in a situation. We are able to demonstrate how much we want something and that form of seriousness can build trust with others.
