I Should Be Out There With Them

"I wrote this piece on a train while in Amsterdam last month". I’m in Amsterdam right now and was walking around the neighborhood around Central station yesterday to catch a canal cruise. For anyone wanting to go to Amsterdam which is a city made for the water catching a canal cruise is a must no matter what. It is a beautiful way to explore the city and just fully embrace parts you may not be able to see by walking. Well, I saw something that has me thinking a lot. It was people on the street playing Gospel music and dancing while praising the name of Jesus. Most of the people were African which is easy to tell because I also am, but it was a beautiful sight to behold, and I started asking myself why I don’t do that?

Why am I not on the street praising the name of Jesus and yelling to the world of his glory? These people didn’t care how they were seen or who was judging and were treating it like a church service. The things God has done for me are endless and even right now I’m on a train heading from Rotterdam back to Amsterdam and just the fact that I’m in this country writing this is all thanks to God. I have been traveling all month and have been able to see all the countries, see all the attractions and my plans have all gone to fruition thanks to God.

I literally was in the Anne Frank House this morning and not just outside of it but inside because I was able to get a ticket. Tickets for this house sell out around 2 months before and I was blessed to be able to get one. I saw her dairy, saw their hiding place and many other historic artifacts. I could go on but all I’m saying is we should do more to praise God me being the first. I have always been unashamed of my faith but calling all my Christians, let’s go out and dance and praise his name without any care of judgment or how people see us because he has never failed us.
