It Is More Than A Game

It was a Thursday Night football game on December 11th between the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We fantasy football heads call it the Kyle Pitts game because an individual like me who started him won my semifinal matchup because of his 3 touchdowns on my way to my championship. Pitts for the most part had a promising rookie season but the couple years after had been all over the place and most people didn't know what to make of him. I remember setting my lineup for that game and the funny thing is I have always found a way to draft him in at least one of my three fantasy leagues because I'm always thinking this will be the year he puts it together.
Well, am I glad to have started him that game because I was debating on benching him for someone else, but he was coming off a couple of solid games in which he didn't have a touchdown but was putting up enough receiving yards for decent fantasy points. He blessed us who started him with over 45 fantasy points and that propelled me to the finals because my opponent in the semifinals had a good team and I probably wouldn't have won without the Pitts performance. His 3 touchdowns gave the Falcons a 29-28 win. What drew my attention after the game was players from both teams came together in the middle of the field, holding hands and praying to God.
It was a sight to behold and just a reminder that no matter what happens in the field, God is always 1st and he gets the glory. God is the one who made it all happen in the first place, the reason they're in the NFL, the reason they have health to go out on the field and compete against each other. It was beautiful to see and for us to remember to always keep God first no matter what. It is easy at times to forget or be consumed in the moment because so much goes on these days and life doesn't get any easier, but we must remember who makes it all possible. God will never give us a battle he knows we can't handle, and he always makes things work out for those who trust in him. There will always be up and downs but with God, all things are possible and this image will forever display that. God bless you all.
