Well we’re at the end of the year and heading into another year it seems like the years fly by really fast nowadays. Going into 2023 I think it’s important to have a vision and also a plan. I’m not huge on New Year’s resolutions and never really do them but I think it depends on the person and what works for one person may not necessarily work for another. Me personally I just let life happen and I don’t worry or stress about anything. I’m currently reading the book The power of now and it has taught me a lot about staying in the present and how much acknowledgment of what is happening in the present can save us a lot of time when it comes to stressing over the future and letting things that are not in our control impact us more than we shouldn’t. I think what I’m trying to say is look for things in 2023 in which you may not necessarily have been able to do or maybe the decisions that were made in 2022 that can be improved in 2023.
Time is important and I think a lot of times we’re not aware of how fast it goes and how much of it is spent on things that are worthless or can be better use elsewhere. Another thing we can be mindful of is our drive and how we tackle things. In one of my posts I talked about how my mindset has been changing after I turned 25 and a lot of it has to do with my drive. My drive when it comes to the way I tackle things or how much importance I’m placing on them. I want to have the urgency to where I’m putting my all and aggressively pursing things I want and doing things like I’m on a time limit. I want to face things like it’s now or never and I need to give them my all. Life is short and I’m always learning about how we don’t know how much time we have. One more aspect of life I want us to be aware of is not getting too low or falling victim to the hard times.
Life is not easy and we’re continuously getting tested in ways in which sometimes we have no idea how to handle or what we can do but what we can’t do is get too low to the point in which we start giving up on ourselves. We can always rise up no matter what and healing takes time. It’s okay to give yourself time to heal from things and it is not going to happen overnight or the week after but what we can do is not to be too hard on ourselves. We have to be patient with ourselves and give ourselves the push to get up from these times because no one is going to save us at the end of the day. These are some things I personally would like to see in 2023 but to each their own. Everyone has their own goals and their own New Year’s resolutions and I think for those who like writing them down or setting these goals, if it works for you go ahead. Personally I like to let life happen and stay in the now. Hope everyone had a great 2022 and I want to wish everybody a Happy New Year. Let’s keep applying pressure in 2023.
