I think as human beings we sometimes focus a lot on things that are not in our control and we put the blame on ourselves for it. Whether with relationships, friendships, family etc we try hard to control things when in some times it is not up to us. One thing that is important is not forcing things and feeling like it is up to us to make things happen when the person or the circumstance on the other side is not meant to be. As human beings we sometimes put a lot of emphasis on forcing things whether it is ourselves in the lives of others or just wanting so bad for things to go our way.
An important thing to realize is some things are better left alone and we have to be able to let go of the need for control. Part of our need for control equates to us putting a lot of energy into forcing things when it is not necessary. Sometimes we have to take a deep breath and let things flow. Life usually always works itself out and God has the plan not us. We don’t need to force friendships, relationships or things to happen in our lives when it is not meant to be. Letting go of the need for control takes the weight of our shoulders and gives us the opportunity to focus on the things that matter like our happiness and health. Our energy should be put on things that will benefit us in the future not on things we think are needed to get us there.
The things or people that are meant to stay in our lives will always find a way to stay and the ones that are not we need to let go. The need for control has a lot to do with our pride because we feel like it is up to us to find the common ground when at the end of the day it is not and these things have already been decided by God. We can’t force things that are not meant to be. We have the power to make our decisions and the freedom to live life as happily as we want to and not have to force anything. One important thing we have to realize is we have the power to make the right decisions in our lives and our lives happen in the direction we want it to. Our power to choose should never be forgotten or be taken for granted because it's our life to live not others.
