You Never Know When Your Last Day is

So I was on a cruise a month ago and I think it was well needed and was just a good way to refresh from work and other things. I enjoyed every moment of it but unfortunately one of the cruisers passed away. Not really gonna give any details but it had more to do with illness than other things. It gave me this realization of how we never know when our last day is and it is important to do what we can to be our best selves physically and mentally because not doing those things can really affect us negatively. The person who passed away during this cruise didn’t wake up on that day thinking it would be their last day.

Another thing this opened my eyes to is living life the way we want to and not having any regrets. We have to make the best of our lives and do the things we want to because we never know. It is important to show the people that matter that they do and we cherish them. I want to send my condolences to the family of the deceased. We have to be aware that we are human and everyday we wake up is a blessing because not everyone gets the opportunity. I look back on the people I have lost who I knew personally and sometimes it is crazy for me to think they are no longer with us.

It sometimes takes time for me to just come to the realization that these people I shared lots of memories and times in life with are no longer available for more memories to be created. The realization also has made me more careful in how I approach certain aspects of life and being careful of what and who I am around. Sometimes just being at the wrong place at the wrong time can lead to us losing our lives. It is important for us to surround ourselves with the right things and people because not everyone and everything is for us. Working in the mental health field has also given me an opportunity to see how important it is and seeing the suicide rates continue to climb is always a heads up call. The ability of us waking up everyday and been able to go through our day to day lives is a blessing we should never take for granted because it can be gone at any instance.
